We provide marine ecology assessment tools using fixed-point observation buoys equipped with ultrasonic underwater visualization sensors, as well as waterborne drones and small vessels. The assessment targets not only marine organisms such as fish and squid, but also seafloor information including seaweed beds, and provides a remote underwater visualization service.

Technical Strengths

The real-time underwater visualization capability used in next-generation fishfinders and obstacle detection sensors for underwater drones, including UUVs, will be an advantage.

Case Studies

In Toyama, firefly squid are caught in fixed nets from winter to spring. We conducted a demonstration experiment using MagicBuoy, a remote marine life assessment sensor, to predict in real time the catch of firefly squid in these fixed nets.
